DIY Valentine’s Day Handprint & Footprint Art

Happy Valentines’ Day!

Many of you know I loved creating my handprint and footprint art with my girls.  Each month I change out the artwork.  Somehow I managed to not get all the different pieces up on the blog.  Since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner I figured this was a GREAT time to share some Love! My girls each decided on their own what they wanted to do. One I am not to excited about since  I messed it up.. I may redo it at some point  – it’s totally off center and kicks my OCD up just a notch.

First Up…

This is an awesome one for little because the colors don’t have to be straight and they can blend them across and it still looks gorgeous.  She picked out the colors for this one.  I also have done it in blue.

Next up…

is a super cute flamingo design.  We were living in Florida at the time and my daughter was in love with flamingos.  I had to help with the heart.  For the long necks I did a little tiny curve line then she went over herself to make it thicker.  For the dot border I gave her Q-tips and let her create her own pattern.

This one I messed up.  If I had paid better attention I could have fixed her feet that were off center, but I didn’t so I tried to fix it. I had Delainey paint the border in. I then tried to put a heart around her feet with words to make it look less off center.  YEAH.. didn’t work and then I proceeded to make it worse by adding the gold paint that she wanted on it… uggghhh… Oh well.. Its just one of those things I guess. I do love the way her hearts in the border turned out though. At least I’ve got that.
